arhiv slikaThe Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" is co-publisher of the Archives of Biological Sciences, the official journal of the Serbian Biological Society. The journal was founded in 1949 as the Arhiv bioloških nauka. All the articles were in Serbian with abstracts in French. The founder and first Editor-in-Chief was the Academician Siniša Stanković. As of 1987, all of the articles were in English. In 1993 the name of the journal was changed to the Archives of Biological Sciences, its current name.

The Archives of Biological Sciences is a multidisciplinary journal that covers original research in a wide range of subjects in life science, including biology, ecology, human biology and biomedical research. The Archives of Biological Sciences is published quarterly in open access electronic format. The journal is indexed in several indexing data-bases for scientific journals. It was included in the SCI list in 2008, and gained a JCR impact factor 0.956 for 2020.

 

 

korica casopisa vol6 no4The Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" is one of the co-publishers of the journal Water Research and Management, published by the Serbian Association for Water Protection. This journal has been founded in 2011 with the objective to establish platform for information exchange regarding all aspects of water research, as well as to provide basis for better connection of science and water management. Beside the IBISS, co-publishers are Institute for Water Management “Jaroslav Černi” Belgrade and the International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area - IAWD. The journal is published quarterly. Editorial Stuff currently works on the inclusion of the WRM in several indexing databases.
