During the scientific part, lectures were held by researchers from scientific research organizations with whom IBISS closely cooperates: the Faculty of Biology of the University of Belgrade (Dr. Tamara Kanjuh), the Institute for the Application of Nuclear Energy (Dr. Jelena Stanojković), the Institute for Medical Research - Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia of the University of Belgrade (Dr. Sanja Momčilović), the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering of the University of Belgrade (Dr. Danijela Drakulić), the Institute for Nuclear Sciences "Vinča" of the University of Belgrade (Dr. Maja Živković), as well as lectures by researchers from IBISS (Dr. Jelena Đuknić and Dr. Marija Đorđević).

In the second, ceremonial part, the guests were addressed by the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović, Vice-President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician Zoran Popović, and Director of the Institute, Dr. Mirjana Mihailović.

Dr. Mirjana Mihailović presented the activities of the Institute from the previous year, and gave a thank you note for the presence and kind words of important guests and colleagues. As in previous years, certificates of appreciation were presented to doctors of science who obtained this title in the past year at the Institute.

This year marks 50 years since the Institute adopted the name of its founder and longtime director, Dr. Siniša Stanković. On this occasion, a short film about his life and work was shown, as well as a short film about the mural painted on the Institute's building featuring a portrait of Siniša Stanković. The mural was created by Andrej Žikić Artez, in cooperation with the company ProfiLab.

The celebration traditionally continued in a relaxed atmosphere in the garden of the Institute.
