During the symposium, the participants discussed the discovery of bioactivity in major chronic diseases and emerging viral infectious diseases, emphasizing natural products, traditional medicine, and discoveries of new drugs. The focus was on a facilitate exchange in the research and development of natural products and new drags between research institutions and universities in China and the wider Balkan region.
From IBISS, Dr. Marina Soković gave the opening speech, the lecture was given by Dr. Ana Ćirić (The freshwater spongy Ephydatia fluviatilis as potential natural antimicrobial agent), while Dr. Jasmina Glamočlija took part in the panel discussion.
During the visit to Wuhan, colleagues from the Department of Plant Physiology, together with PANDA members, visited Wuhan’s Optics Valley, United Imaging, Wuhan National University and Nano Body Life Science and Technology Co., Ltd (NBLST).
