The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and support for the process of institutional transformation.

In order to support excellence in science, as well as to ensure long term support for the quality of scientific research, the Ministry supports this process by using the funds of the loan approved by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development to the Republic of Serbia for the realization of the Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SAIGE) Project.

The goal of the SAIGE project is to improve the relevance and excellence of research and raise the capacity of scientific organizations, as well as to improve innovative entrepreneurship and access to sources of financing for the growth of companies and contribute to the growth of the competitiveness of the Serbian economy.
