On May 10th, the Department of Plant Physiology IBISS and the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia hosted Dr. Andrea Bábelova, the head of the Department of Nanobiology at the Cancer Research Institute of the Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

During the lecture, Dr. Bábelová shared her research on the use of nanobiology to improve drug delivery to cancer cells. She discussed how nanoscale drug delivery systems can be designed to selectively target cancer cells, thereby reducing the toxicity and side effects associated with traditional chemotherapy. The visit by Dr. Bábelová is part of IBISS's ongoing efforts to bring leading researchers from around the world to share their expertise and insights with the local scientific community. The institute hopes that such events will foster collaboration and spark new ideas that will drive scientific progress in Serbia and beyond.
