One of this year's winners of the "Goran Ljubijankić" Foundation award is our colleague Dr. Marija Đorđević from the Department of Molecular Biology for the Ph.D. Dissertation "Transdifferentiation of mouse pancreatic alpha cells into cells that produce insulin by targeted DNA methylation using the EpiCRISPR system", under the mentorship of Dr. Jelena Arambašić-Jovanović and Dr. Melita Vidaković from the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković".

This award is given for the best doctoral dissertations and master's theses in the field of molecular biology defended in the previous year. The awards ceremony was held on January 30 in the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering library.
