Within the Technology Transfer program of the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia, a project under identification number ID 1170 has recently been approved. This project investigates the impact of a traditional fermented beverage on human health. The project is led by Dr. Aleksandra Mladenović, Senior Researcher at the Department of Neurobiology at IBISS, with participation from Dr. Smilja Todorović, Research Associate at the Department of Neurobiology, and Dr. Tanja Vukov, Senior Researcher at the Department of Evolutionary Biology.
The project also includes plans to patent the beneficial properties of this beverage, and the total project value is 20,000 EUR. The project lasts for 12 months and began on November 1, 2024.
