On 17 September 2026, COST Action CA24117 - Innate lymphoid cells – the European quest for innovative cancer prognosis and immunotherapy (ILCquest), chaired by Dr. Ivana Stojanović, Principal Research Fellow from the Department of immunology, held its Management Committee Meeting at the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The meeting brought together members of the Action to review progress achieved during the first Grant Period and discuss priorities and activities for the upcoming period.

As part of the Institutional Seminar of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, the results of the SEED projects awarded under the 2025 call were presented. The presentations were held in two sessions, on 24 and 29 September 2026, at the IBISS Library.

PhD student and Research Assistant at the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, Sofija Ignjatović, received the Best Poster Award at the 13th Annual Meeting of the ESE Young Endocrinologists and Scientists (EYES 2026), held in Belgrade, Serbia.

From September 9 to 11, 2026, representatives of the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković"s Knowledge and Technology Transfer Team (KTT), Dr. Danijela Vojnović-Milutinović and Dr. Marijana Skorić, together with Dr. Nataša Veličković, STRIMHealth Coordinator, conducted a study visit dedicated to intellectual property (IP) management and the organization of innovation support systems. This visit included Karolinska Institutet Innovation in Solna, Sweden, as well as Örebro University in Örebro, Sweden.

Scientists from the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" participated in the 1st Balkan Conference on Biomedical and Cancer Research, held at the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from September 3rd to 5th, 2026.

Scientists from the Wuhan University of Technology visited the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković".

On 11 July 2026, researchers from the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” participated in Science Day, organized by the Centre for the Promotion of Science and Research (CNIRS) of the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, in the Jevremovac Botanical Garden.

PhD students from the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, Sofija Ignjatović and Vasilije Živaljević, participated in the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) Summer School 2026, held in Innsbruck, Austria.

Within the framework of the STRIMHealth project, the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” hosted Raquel Duarte, a PhD student from the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa), Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidade de Lisboa, as part of a Short-Term Scientific Exchange (STSE). The visit was carried out from 29 May to 2 July 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Nataša Veličković, in close collaboration with the host research team.
