Our colleague Nevena Savić, PhD student at the Department of Molecular Biology, has received the “Wiley–BioFactors Young Investigator Award 2024” for her paper titled “Sulforaphane prevents diabetes-induced hepatic ferroptosis by activating the Nrf2 signaling axis,” published in the journal IUBMB-BioFactors.

The award is presented by the journal BioFactors and the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) for the best original publication published in the previous year. The paper is available at: https://doi.org/10.1002/biof.2042
