Invitation to the Workshop within the PaSTINCA Project: "Understanding Nutrition – Understanding the Child"

The PaSTINCA Project Team (Parents and Scientists Together for Identifying Nutritional Challenges in Autism) is organising a professional workshop, "Understanding Nutrition - Understanding the Child", focused on addressing nutritional challenges in children on the autism spectrum. The event aims to foster collaboration between the education system, healthcare professionals, and families.

The project is led by Dr. Smilja Praćer, together with neurobiologists from the Department of Neurobiology IBISS (Dr. Milena Jović, Dr. Milica Prvulović, Valentina Simeunović), in cooperation with the Union of Associations of Serbia for Assistance to Persons with Autism (Lidija Despić Stojaković) and experts from the Institute of Mental Health (Prof. Dr. Milica Pejović Milovančević, Dr. Nataša Srećković Milenković, Dr. Milica Vlaisavljević).

The workshop seeks to open dialogue with professionals from the education sector on how to provide adequate nutritional support for children with autism in everyday environments, particularly in preschools and schools.

Drawing on parents’ experiences, the discussion will focus on identifying key ideas and developing practical solutions to support educators and improve the quality of life of children with autism and their families.
