The Award "Academic Milutin Radovanović" for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of zoology for the 2024/2025 academic year has been awarded to our colleagues Dr. Ana Radmilović, Department of Evolutionary Biology, and Dr. Pavle Erić, Department of Population Genetics and Ecogenotoxicology.

• Dr. Ana Radmilović defended her doctoral dissertation in October 2025, titled: "Phenotypic plasticity of the yellow-bellied toad (Bombina variegata) under habitat drying conditions” under the mentorship of Dr. Nataša Tomašević Kolarov and Dr. Imra Krizmanić.
• Dr. Pavle Erić defended his doctoral dissertation in May 2025: "Adaptive significance of intrapopulational mitochondrial DNA variation in Drosophila subobscura and D. obscura", under the mentorship of Dr. Mihailo Jelić.

The awards were presented during the Saint Sava School’s Day celebration on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in the Great Hall of the Institute of Zoology.
