The Ivan Đaja Award for the best PhD thesis in Physiology in 2017/2018 was presented to Dr. Željko Pavković, Department of Neurobiology, for his thesis entitled: The effects of propofol induced anesthesia on synaptic plasticity, dopaminergic system activity and behaviour of juvenile rats. The thesis was performed in the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, University of Belgrade, under the supervision of Dr. Vesna Pešić.
The Goran Ljubijankić Foundation Award for the best PhD thesis in Molecular Biology in 2018 was presented to Dr. Miodrag Dragoj, Department of Neurobiology, for his thesis entitled: Effects of CXCR4 receptor and focal adhesion kinase inhibition in suppressing invasion and overcoming drug resistance in non-small cell lung carcinoma. The thesis was performed in the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, University of Belgrade, under the supervision of Dr. Tijana Stanković and Prof. Dr. Goran Brajušković.
