Miloš Todorović

Miloš Todorović was born in 1996 in Loznica, where he completed medicinal school. In 2016, he began his studies at the Faculty of Biology at the University of Belgrade, which he completed in 2020 with the Biology module. At the end of his undergraduate studies, his scientific interest focused on the field of plant physiology, which led to his master's thesis, which he successfully defended in 2021 and then enrolled in PhD studies in the same module. He is the recipient of an invitation from the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the RS for the involvement of young researchers in scientific research work (contract number: 451-03-68/2024-14-200007). In his previous work, he dealt with the study of secondary metabolites in various plant species, the study of their metabolic pathways, but also with metabolic engineering using modern methods of molecular biology. As part of his PhD thesis, he is investigating the causes of phenotypic variability in flower color in certain members of the genus Centaurium Hill, paying the most attention to the study of various compounds from the group of anthocyanins, plant pigments responsible for the widest range of flower colors. He was part of the organizing committee of the second annual meeting of the Cost Action CA18210 project, but also a participant in the "4th International conference of Plant Biology (23rd SPPS Meeting)", which took place in 2022. He is actively engaged in the promotion of science, where he participated in workshops within the project "Road to Friday of Science and Art - ReFocuS Art", which is financed by the European Commission within the framework of "Horizon Europe" - the program for research and innovation of the "Marie Sklodowska-Curie" subprogram (2022), and was also a participant in the 16th Science Festival, organized by the Science Promotion Center, in Belgrade (2023). By the City Institute for Public Health, he was engaged in molecular diagnostics of the infectious disease Covid-19 (2020-2022). He is a member of the Serbian Biological Society (SBD), the Society for Plant Physiology of Serbia (DFBS) and the Federation of European Societies for Plant Biology (FESPB). He is a great adventurer, he likes to spend his free time in nature, and his favorite hobby is running.
