Members of the Department of Neurobiology were organizers of the ERA.Net RUS + THIOREDIN Belgrade Workshop, held at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" 19-20 October 2019.

ERA.Net RUS+ THIOREDIN is a trilateral project between Latvia, Russia, and Serbia entitled "Development of thioredoxin reductase inhibitors against new anti-cancer agents" lead by Dr. Raivis Žalubovskis (Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis), prof. Mikhail Krasavin (Saint Petersburg State University) and Dr. Milica Pešić, Head of the IBISS Department of Neurobiology. In addition to the project participants, lectures at the Workshop were delivered by colleagues from the IBISS Department of Molecular Biology (Dr. Melita Vidaković) and Department of Neurobiology (Dr. Irena Lavrnja), as well as guests from the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia (Dr. Jelena Grahovac), the Institute of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry Faculty of Medicine (Prof. Ivanka Marković), and the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences (Dr. Milan Senćanski).
