12th DrosEU Workshop Belgrade

The 12th workshop of European Drosophila Population Genomics Consortium (DrosEU) is taking place June 13 - 14 in Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković". The workshop is organized in hybrid format (in-person and with remote attendees) via Zoom platform and limited only for registered consortium members .

To foster the integration and exchange of population genomic information and data, the je DrosEU has been founded as a collaborative consortium of scientists and laboratories interested in evolutionary genetics and genomics of Drosophila. The project is covered by a Special Topics Network (STN) grant from the European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB) and as of May 2017, the DrosEU Consortium is composed of 40 laboratories from 19 European countries and also from the US, Morocco and Israel. In 2016 members of drosophila population genetics group (https://drosbeg.bio.bg.ac.rs) from the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" - National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade and Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade joined the project and contributed so far in two papers published in highly ranked journals. DrosEU organizes workshops twice a year in order to share and discuss the research and also discuss future developments and collaborations in the field of Drosophila adaptation genomics.
