The 6th Annual Conference of the Pan-Balkan Alliance for Natural Products and Drug Discovery (PANDA) and the 2025 UNESCO Regional Network for Natural Products Chemistry Seminar were held from October 26 to 29, 2025, at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Shanghai, China.

The conference was organized by SIMM in collaboration with IBISS, the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia, and the State Key Laboratory of Drug Research, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The event gathered researchers from numerous PANDA and UNESCO member countries.

Three parallel sessions were held, covering a wide range of topics including the discovery and synthesis of bioactive compounds, pharmacological and metabolomic studies of natural products, integration of traditional and modern medicine, biotechnological and analytical approaches in natural product research, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in pharmacognosy and drug discovery.
