Dr. Marina Soković and Dr. Jasmina Glamočlija, Department of Plant Physiology, participated in the meeting of the ENFiber COST Action 24111 held in Tartu, Estonia, from May 4 to May 7, 2026. Representatives from 27 countries participated in the meeting and conference.

As part of the COST ENFIBER meeting, Dr. Soković and Dr. Glamočlija also attended “The International Conference & Workshop on Extraction Methods for Valorising Fibers from Food and Agro-Processing Waste”, organized within the framework of the ENFiber COST Action (CA24111).

As the leader of Working Group 4 (WG4), Dr. Soković presented the group’s activities and achievements to date, as well as future plans and perspectives for international collaboration. During the meeting, future scientific activities of the consortium were discussed and agreed upon, with a special focus on the development of sustainable technologies for the valorization of food processing waste and the production of sustainable fibers within the framework of the circular economy.
