On September 23, 2026, the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” had the honour of hosting a delegation from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), consisting of Li Kun, Yang Yuyang, Guo Jun, Zhang Xiaobo, and Fang Yigong. The delegation was accompanied by Hu Zhiyu and Kang Wang, secretaries at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Serbia responsible for science and technological development.

On behalf of the Institute, the guests were welcomed by Dr. Larisa Ilijin, President of the Scientific Council of IBISS. During the meeting, representatives of both institutions gave presentations. On behalf of IBISS, Dr. Aleksandra Mladenović, Dr. Ana Đorđević, Dr. Svetlana Dinić, Dr. Đorđe Miljković, Dr. Ljubica Harhaji Trajković, and Dr. Branka Šošić-Jurjević gave short presentations on the Institute’s work, research activities, and areas of expertise. Representatives of the CACMS delegation subsequently presented the work and research activities of their Academy.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present various areas of research and exchange experiences, identify common areas of interest, and explore opportunities for future cooperation between the two institutions.
