ANSO 7th Pan‐Balkan Alliance of Natural Products and Drug Discovery Associations Conference on Natural Drug Research: Bridging Science and Nature, was held on October 20–21, 2026, in the Grand Hall of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) in Belgrade, Serbia.

The conference was organized by the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, in cooperation with the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM). The conference was officially opened by Dr. Marina Soković, Principal Research Fellow at IBISS; Academician Zoran Knežević, President of SASA; Academician Prof. Hongping He, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS); Ambassador Li Ming Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Serbia; Dr. Momir Paunović, Deputy Director of IBISS; and Prof. Dr. Yang Ye, Principal Research Fellow at SIMM. In their opening remarks, they addressed the conference participants and guests, emphasizing the importance of international scientific cooperation and the exchange of knowledge.

The conference comprised seven thematic sessions and 39 presentations, bringing together researchers from 15 countries across Europe and Asia. The program focused on current research in natural products and drug discovery, providing an opportunity to present scientific findings, exchange experiences, and explore opportunities for future cooperation among researchers and partner institutions.
