Stanford University has updated its database of authors with standardized citation indicators and published the results for 2024. Once again this year, our researchers are included on the list: Dr. Marina Soković, Dr. Jasmina Glamočlija, and Dr. Marija Ivanov, associates of the Department of Plant Physiology, as well as Dr. Marko Prokić, associate of the Department of Physiology.

The list of the most influential scientists was compiled with the aim of assessing the impact of researchers and their work from several different perspectives. The authors of the list used data from the Scopus database, which contains over 8 million authors, and created a ranking of the most cited researchers in 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, based on six parameters: total citations, Hirsch h-index, number of citations of papers in which the researcher is the sole author, number of citations of papers in which the researcher is the sole or first author, and number of citations of papers in which the researcher is the sole, first, or last author.
