The international patent application of IBISS „WO2024107075 - Hybrid Compounds of Sclareol and Doxorubicin, Their Synthesis and Application“, by the researchers of the Department of Neurobiology, Dr. Milica Pešić and Ana Stepanović, has been published.
In the library of the IBISS, on May 20, 2024, a ceremony was held to mark the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement for Science and Technology between the People's Republic of China and Serbia, as three years of successful work of the Chinese-Serbian Joint Laboratory "Belt and Road", founded by the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) and IBISS.
The Serbian Association for Cancer Research (SDIR) at the The third SDIR Scientific days, held on April 25, 2024, at the Oncology Institute of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica, University of Novi Sad, awarded the annual prize for the best cancer research publication in 2023 to Dr. Sofija Jovanović Stojanov from the Department of Neurobiology, IBISS.
On 16th May 2024, the IBISS hosted the Third meeting of International Advisory Board. The meeting was attended by Board Members Dr. Marianne Roth, Dr. Matijaž Polak, Dr. Stathis Gonos, National Consultant on the behalf of the SAIGE Project Dr. Aleksandar Belić, Director Dr. Mirjana Mihailović and Assistant Director Dr. Momir Paunović, IBISS.
Dr. Slađana Jevremović, full research professor at Department of Plant Physiology participated in the Conference of COST action CA21157 - European Network for Innovative Woody Plant Cloning (COPYTREE).
The Serbian Society for Parasitology at the 30th expert meeting, held on April 26, 2024, at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, awarded the annual prize for scientific research for the year 2023 to Dr. Milan Miljević from the Department of Genetic Research, IBISS and Prof. Dr. Olivera Bjelić Čabrilo from the Department of Biology and Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences, UNS.
The first of a series of workshops from the training program "Development and Validation of Market Potential and Market Model" led by Domen Bole took place on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the IBISS library. The workshop is aimed at teams that have submitted "Proof of Concept 2" project proposals funded by the SAIGE project.
ImmuParkNet COST Action Annual Conference was held on April 20-22, 2024, at the Royal Inn Hotel in Belgrade. The meeting was organized by Dr. Tamara Saksida and associates of the IBISS Department of Immunology.
On Friday, April 19, 2024, a gathering convened with members of the International Advisory Board. The meeting was attended by Dr. Teresa Lettieri, Prof. Damid Barcelo Cullerds, Dr. Thomas Mohr, and national consultant Dr. Aleksandar Belić.
On April 12th, 2024, the official opening of the exhibition "Amphibians of the Smederevo Region" was held by Dr. Aleksandar Urošević, a senior scientific associate of the Institute for Biological Research Siniša Stanković, and Dr. Gordana Paunović, museum advisor of the Museum in Smederevo.
